This coin has spent the year holding its ground better than most of the large tokens, giving back less on the way down and steadying faster when the market wobbles. This week tested that reputation.

BNB, the token behind the BNB Chain ecosystem, has drifted lower over the past several days, part of a broad cooling across the market after a strong stretch. Today it dropped early, found a floor, and spent the session grinding sideways near a round number rather than recovering much of the loss.
BNB’s Recent Strength Is Starting to Fade
The past week turned the trend. After a month that barely added ground, up less than 2%, BNB has fallen around 6% over the past seven days. The monthly gain is now almost entirely a function of where the month started rather than any recent progress, and the direction has clearly shifted from up to down.
Today showed the softness without the drama. BNB opened near $730, dropped quickly to a low around $709 in the early hours, then stabilized in the low $720s for the rest of the session.
The quick recovery off that low is the kind of resilience BNB has shown all year, but it recovered into a lower range rather than back to where it started. Stabilizing below the open is steadier than falling further, though it is still a step down.
BNB Price Holds Between 712 and 730
BNB trades near $720, down roughly 2% on the day and about 6% on the week, holding a monthly gain of under 2%.

The session found its shape after the early drop. Price fell toward $709, recovered into a band between $712 and $723, and has spent the back half of the day hovering around the $720 mark.
The levels are close together. The $723 intraday high is the first resistance, with the round $730 level and the session high near $731 above it marking where the day began. On the downside, the $712 area that held through the morning is the first support, with the round $710 level just beneath.
The price sits near the middle of that range, closer to support than to the levels it opened at, which frames the day as a controlled step lower rather than a sharp break.
A Controlled Decline Still Carries Risk
BNB's steadiness can read as safety, and that is where the caution sits. Holding up better than weaker tokens is not the same as being strong, and a 6% down week is a 6% down week regardless of how controlled it looks. The monthly gain has nearly evaporated, and the recent direction is lower, which means the relative strength is slowing the decline rather than preventing one.
The longer view keeps BNB ahead of its peers, which is both its edge and its trap. It remains down about 15% year to date and 44% over the past year, and it trades roughly 48% below the high it set around this time last year.
That is a milder drawdown than most large tokens carry, but a milder hole is still a hole, and a token that leaks lower slowly can erase a good run just as completely as one that drops fast.
What a Recovery Would Need to Look Like
Reclaiming $730 and the session high above it would undo most of this week's slippage and put BNB back in the range it held before the cooling began. That is what a genuine recovery would look like.
By staying above the $712 support, it keeps the week's decline orderly and leaves the longer uptrend intact, though holding a floor during a down week is a lower bar than reclaiming the ground already lost. The gap between $712 and $730 is where this resolves, and today, BNB sat closer to the floor than the ceiling.
The BNB Levels That Matter Next
The range between $712 and $730 frames the next few sessions. A push back above $730 would signal the pullback was a pause, not a turn, and restore the steadier trend BNB held through the year.
A break below $712 would put the round $710 level and a deeper retracement of the monthly gain in play. BNB has leaned toward the lower half of that range today, and its usual resilience is being asked to do more work than it has in a while.
